16 Jun 101 FASTER, a Season to Remember
At ISB Sport, we want to shine a spotlight on one of our ambassador teams, 101 FASTER, who are enjoying a truly remarkable season. Race after race, kilometre after kilometre, their riders are making their mark, climbing onto the podium in some of the most prestigious events at both national and international level.
This team, an exceptional mix of youth, experience, and deep technical knowledge of mountain biking and Gran Fondo racing, is riding in top form, competing at the highest level across disciplines like XCM, XCO, and Gran Fondo road races, and achieving standout results throughout the calendar.
Among the most notable performances is that of Patxi Cía, who has been riding with relentless consistency. His season highlights include becoming XCO World Vice-Champion, Spanish XCM Vice-Champion, winner of the VolCAT UCI MTB Stage Race, and Regional XCM Champion of Navarra, an impressive palmarès that speaks volumes of his class and determination.
Another key name on the roster is Jorge Fajardo, who delivered a solid season that earned him the Spanish XCM Vice-Champion title, further confirming his value as a cornerstone of the squad.
On the road and in the Gran Fondo scene, Pedro Antonio has been unstoppable, racking up victories in some of the most demanding events on the calendar, including the Costa Blanca Bike Race Gran Fondo Ruta, the Gran Fondo Internacional Riopar, the Mediterranean Epic Gran Fondo Ruta, and the Clásica Gran Fondo Internacional Moratalla.
In the women’s field, Alicia Gargalejo is enjoying a dream season. She took victory at the Gigante de Piedra Small UCI Gran Fondo XCM, currently leads the Spanish XCO Cup, and was recently crowned Regional XCO Champion of Valencia. Her rapid rise positions her as one of the most promising female riders on the national circuit.
Other standout riders include Sergio Sánchez, the Regional XCM Champion of Murcia, and Antonio Gutiérrez, who continues to collect top finishes with a win at the Gran Fondo Calar Alto XCM, a second place at the Mozárabes Bike Race Ultra Fondo XCM, and a third place finish at La Indomable.
