Klimatiza Orbea Team at Cape Epic 2025: A Journey of Strength, Resilience, and Determination
The Klimatiza Orbea Team has been giving their all in the 2025 Cape Epic, one of the toughest mountain bike races in the world. With an incredible mix of talent, dedication, and preparation, our riders have been pushing their limits stage by stage, and the race has been truly thrilling.
Here’s a brief summary of their journey, stage by stage:
The Cape Epic kicked off with an intense 26 km prologue, featuring over 750 meters of elevation. The nerves were shaken off, and the battle began. Marc and Samuele delivered a strong start, securing a spot in the Top 10 with an impressive performance.
Stage 1
The first stage was a grueling 92 km with +2750 m of elevation. Marc and Samuele pushed hard and finished in 4th place, just missing the podium. Meanwhile, Luis and Miguel fought through mechanical issues and tough conditions, finishing in 14th place after a solid recovery.
Stage 2
Facing a challenging terrain that didn’t favor them, the team fought back to minimize time losses and keep pushing toward the finish line. Tomorrow promises another battle: 90 km with +2600 m of elevation.
Stage 3
The riders are giving it their all, despite the intense heat and tough conditions. The hard work and dedication of Marc, Samuele, Luis, and Miguel are paying off as they continue to push their limits.
Stage 4
We are still in the fight for the overall podium. Marc and Samuele hold onto 4th place, just out of the top three. Miguel and Luis continue to improve daily, getting closer to the Top 10.
Stage 5
Today was a long day, with 98 km and 2850 m of elevation, ending with a heart-pounding climb to the finish! We’re thrilled with the sensations and performance, especially in the descents. With two more days to go, we’ll give everything to secure the best possible position.
Stage 6
With just one stage remaining, both couples are firmly within the Top 10 overall. Marc and Samuele were once again very close to the podium, finishing 4th after 87 km with the leading group. Miguel and Luis continue to impress with each stage, delivering great performances.
We couldn’t be prouder of both pairs—Marc and Samuele have been consistently close to the podium, finishing 4th overall, while Luis and Miguel delivered a fantastic 5th place finish in Stage 6, climbing to 7th overall.
We are hungry for more, and we’ll be back next year to continue fighting with the best in the world!
The Cape Epic isn’t just a race; it’s a test of determination. It’s one of the toughest races in the world, but it’s also one of the most enjoyable, with stunning landscapes and a fanbase that brings incredible energy.
