Spanish Alpine Skating Team triumphs at World Championships

Great success in terms of participation and organisation at the World Inline Skating Championships in Barcelona. The mountain of Montjuïch was the venue for one of the best World Championships in the history of this sport, which was well attended and received good media coverage. In sporting terms, the Spanish team won a total of eight medals (two gold, three silver and three bronze). The most outstanding runner was Marta Borràs with five of the eight medals. Germany dominated the overall medal count and proved to be the strongest in the senior category, winning the most medals.

On the last day of competition, Marta Borràs won silver and Iván Sabugo won bronze in the junior Parallel event.
