
03 Jun TEAM DA-TOR ISB AT THE TOP DOLOMITES GRANFONDO
Moltoni and Miotto in the top ten in the Long; Mariani second overall in the Middle Team Da-Tor/Isb of Lecco in great evidence in Pinzolo, in the sixth edition of the Top Dolomites of cycling. Two routes on the program. The 117-km (2600 mt dsl) and the other of 75 km (1650 mt dsl) with start and finish in Pinzolo. The 117-km Granfondo, after only 7 km tackled one of the climbs covered also during the 2015 Giro d’Italia, the Daone Pass.
Having tackled the Daone Pass, the race headed toward Stenico, a historic town overlooking Ponte Arche and the beautiful Rendena Valley. Passing through the beautiful area of Lake Tenno, the descent to Riva del Garda and Arco, climbing again to the Ballino Pass and the Durone Pass and the arrival in Pinzolo. As many as two cyclists from the company of team manager Mauro Cesana to enter the top ten overall. Sixth and ninth place, in fact, for Matteo Moltoni (third among Juniors) and Andrea Miotto, the latter winner among Veterans 1. In this category Aldo Barone closes in second place (22nd overall). Category victory for our Sarah Palfrader, third overall and first in bracket C. They go up on the podium also Paolo Montini (36th) and Luigi Filipazzi (104th) third respectively among Gentlemen 1 and Supergentlemen A. Also in great evidence were. Federico Brevi, 26th overall and fifth in the Senior 2.
As for the 75-kilometer Medio Fondo, extraordinary performance of Andrea Mariani with the cyclist finishing second overall, winning among the Senior 1. Impeccable trial. Close to the top ten in category Massimiliano Taverna (35th overall) fourth among Gentlemen 1. Kudos also to Alessio Fumagalli (82nd) 11th Senior 2; Simone Passoni (113th) 18th Senior 1; Franco Divitini (269th) thirteenth Supergentlemen A; and Renato Mainetti (351st) 26th Supergentlemen A.
