As a general rule, bearings<\/b><\/span> are basically formed by two rings, rolling elements and a cage. Some of these elements are those that will serve, among others, to classify them according to their differences in design and structure.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The base of the \u201cbearing\u201d is formed by two concentric rings <\/b><\/span>called o\u00a0 <\/span>and inner ring whose manufacturing material will determine whether it is \u201cSteel bearings\u201d, \u201cStainless steel bearings\u201d, \u201cCeramic bearings\u201d, etc. <\/span><\/p>\n

These rings have the mission of housing some rolling elements that can be balls or rollers so that they move on their raceways without any difficulty. The rollers can be tapered rollers, cylindrical rollers or needles which will allow their classification into Ball bearings \u201c(the most common),\u201d Tapered roller bearings \u201c,\u201d Cylindrical roller bearings \u201cor\u201d Needle roller bearings \u201c. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The cage<\/b><\/span> is the separating component that allows the balls or rollers to be fixed equidistant. It is usually made of stamped steel sheet, but also of nylon, brass, or simply not included in the bearing, as would be the case of the VMax Series Bearings for bicycle whose execution makes them contain one more ball and roll of free way.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Steel or rubber seals<\/b><\/span> are a common element since they prevent the entry of pollutants into the bearing. The execution of these seals can be made of steel or rubber \u201c2RS\u201d on both sides, \u201cZZ\u201d or \u201c2RS\u201d respectively, on one side or none as would be the case of known as \u201copen\u201d bearings.<\/span><\/p>\n
