Pitiusa Island has welcomed riders from all over the world this weekend to enjoy the twenty-second edition of the Vuelta a Ibiza SCOTT by Shimano<\/a>. A MTB competition, divided into three stages with extremely hard routes visiting trails, spectacular views, trialeras, heart attack climbs, interior roads, etc. In it, we have been able to enjoy the ISB Sport ambassador team, Scott Cala Bandida<\/a>, who has had an important participation in this exciting weekend.<\/p>\n

On the first day of 64km and 1500 meters of altitude, the pair formed by Mantec\u00f3n and Guerrilla, very equal at the beginning of the stage with the head of the race, had a fall that made them finish the first stage in fourth position. On the other hand, Miquel and Pablo also started with very good feelings that made them finish in sixth position and named this first stage as “Super Stage” thanks to their good high and constant pace as indicated by Miquel Faus.<\/p>\n

In the queen stage on Saturday, a day with 80 km and 2000 meters of altitude, Sergio and Francesc, wanting to improve their result of the first stage, achieved a great performance and cut positions in the general classification, getting a P2. Miquel and Pablo, with the motivation for their great first stage, also managed to cut one position and managed to finish in fifth position.<\/p>\n

The last stage and the fastest of all, with 59km and 1170 meters of altitude and a route with incredible landscapes, we could see a nice fight for the podium, where the first position was decided in a tight final sprint where Mantec\u00f3n and Guerrilla, after fighting until the end and having remained at all times at the head of the peloton, finished second. In turn, Pablo and Miquel fought to enter the podium, finishing in fourth position in the stage and fifth overall.<\/p>\n

One more year, we can only say THANK YOU! to the Vuelta a Ibiza Scott and we are already looking forward to returning next year to enjoy again this wonderful test and its spectacular landscapes and routes.<\/p>\n
