The first medal for Spain at the World Alpine Inline Championships being held in Montju\u00efch (Barcelona) has arrived! The national team skater Marta Borr\u00e0s has been proclaimed runner-up in the Giant Slalom behind the Italian Lorenza Cesaris and ahead of the Latvian Frida Salnikova. In the junior men’s category, the best Spaniard was Marcos Arias, who finished fifth.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in the women’s senior category the best was Laia Torras with a tenth place and in the men’s race Sergio M\u00e9ndez and Sergio Men\u00e9ndez finished twelfth and fourteenth.<\/p>\n
Finally, the team formed by Marta Borr\u00e0s, Nuria Requejo, Sergio M\u00e9ndez and Sergio Men\u00e9ndez finished in a creditable fifth place in the Giant Slalom team event. Italy, Germany and Latvia completed the podium.<\/p>\n
The action will return tomorrow at 09:45h with the Combined event. In the afternoon session, the team slalom events will take place.<\/p>\n
