High up in the Andorran Pyrenees, over 2,000 meters above sea level, the Metallurgica Veneta MTB Pro Team delivered a strong statement at the second round of the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup. Flying the team\u2019s colors with determination, Nicola Taffarel crossed the finish line in a solid 15th place, holding his ground among the top names in the international MTB scene.<\/p>\n

The Naturland course, a 60-kilometer route with nearly 2,000 meters of climbing, put every rider to the test. But Taffarel managed to stay in the front bunch throughout the race, finishing just 6 minutes off the winning time set by Leonardo P\u00e1ez. A result that not only speaks to the rider\u2019s growing form, but also signals a turning point in a season shaped by adversity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m pleased with how I rode today. I paced myself well and stayed up front. The level was sky-high\u2014as expected in a World Cup round. Cracking the Top 15 is a strong step, but my sights are set on the Top 10. There\u2019s more work to be done, but we\u2019re on the right wheel,\u201d said Taffarel, already focused on the next challenge in Val Gardena.<\/p>\n

While Taffarel shone under the spotlight, teammates Diego Arias and Jacopo Billi are still spinning through recovery mode, battling through physical setbacks that have kept them out of peak form. Both riders are working hard to get back in the saddle and aim high for the summer block of races.<\/p>\n
