DOUBLE CHAMPIONSHIP OF SPAIN XCM FOR ISB SPORT VMAX BEARINGS

DOUBLE CHAMPIONSHIP OF SPAIN XCM FOR ISB SPORT VMAX BEARINGS

Jose Mari Sanchez (Scott Cala Bandida team) and Tessa Kortekas (Cannondale ISB Sport), were proclaimed XCM Spanish Champions, in male and female category respectively, with ISB Sport’s VMAX bearings in the suspension of their bikes.

ISB SPORT, the Italian brand of bearings, in its commitment to R&D and the development of a specialized range, makes available to the world of cycling its renowned VMax bearings, specially designed for the whole set of the main joint of the swingarm, linkage and shock absorber.

Its main feature lies in its special “full ball” design, which consists in the elimination of the usual inner cage separating the balls, thus allowing the insertion of the largest possible number of balls. The raceways of its rings are deeper in order to obtain greater lateral support in the face of torsion and the multiple forces associated with the pivots of the bicycle, especially mountain bikes.

In addition, the amount of grease used to lubricate these bearings is maximized to prevent “suspension squeal”. VMax ISB Sport bearings are lubricated with 40% grease (in some double row models) up to 80%, depending on the bearing dimensions.

These special design features mean that ISB SPORT VMax bearings have up to 35%-40% more load capacity than standard ISB Sport series steel bearings.

Professional teams such as Cannondale ISB Sport, Scott Cala Bandida or Unicaja Banco Gijón rely on these bearings for the suspension of their bikes, which shows their great performance and resistance. In fact, in the last XCM Spanish Championship held in Lalín (Galicia), ISB Sport ambassadors reached the top of the podium as Jose Mari Sanchez was proclaimed XCM Champion in the men’s category and Tessa Kortekas in the women’s category, accompanied by Natalia Fischer was proclaimed runner-up.

With these results, ISB Sport continues to consolidate its leadership as the most awarded XCM / mountain bike brand in Spain.
