Felipe Orts, ambassador of ISB Sport, had a good sensations in his debut in mountain bike for Felipe Orts, who has been close to the podium in the Cerro de las Contiendas of Valladolid in an event that counts for the Spanish Cup. The Alicante has signed a good test in his first contact of the season with this discipline fighting for the places of honor throughout the race.
Valladolid has hosted this morning a new appointment of the Spanish Cup of mountain bike in a day where the rain, which threatened to condition the test, finally has not made an appearance. Already in the early stages of the race, Felipe Orts decided to take action and was in second position riding with Didac Carvacho. Despite the good initial sensations, the rider from La Vila accused the effort made and lost contact with the head of the race, being neutralized by a chasing group of 4 riders.
Already in the last lap, there was a change of pace that Felipe Orts could not answer and the two riders who would accompany Didac Carvacho on the podium were leaving. Finally, the rider from La Vila Joiosa – Néteo and ambassador of ISB Sport managed to cross the finish line in fourth position in a day that has served to have a starting point on which to progress during the season.
Felipe Orts: “Happy with the first contact with the mountain bike this season. I had a very good feeling at the start but as the kilometers went by I noticed that I lacked rhythm and I ended up feeling it. I have been neutralized by the chasing group and has started a new race to look for a podium that has escaped me on the last lap. Finally I was fourth, a good result to score my first points and lay a foundation on which to work for the next competitions.”
