Da-Tor/ISB Team takes part in the Colnago Cycling Festival
A group of road cyclists from Team Da-Tor/ISB, based in Lecco, took part this past weekend in the Colnago Cycling Festival, a true celebration of cycling held in Desenzano del Garda (Brescia). The event featured the classic Gran Fondo, offering two different routes of varying difficulty.
In the long course (138 km), which included challenging climbs such as Navazzo, Capovalle, Preseglie, and the Salita delle Coste, Christian Martinelli delivered an outstanding performance. He finished 11th overall and took first place in the Veterani 1 category. Andrea Miotto also had a solid ride, finishing 43rd overall and taking third place in the same category.
In the medium route (108 km), featuring climbs like Salita San Michele and Salita delle Coste, the top performer from the team was Daniele Rainoldi, who finished 20th overall and secured fifth place in the Junior category. Also finishing in the top 100 was Danilo Bottoni, who placed 73rd overall and 17th among the Juniors.
A tough but memorable day
Unfortunately, several riders were forced to abandon the race due to mechanical issues, crashes, and challenging weather conditions, as rain affected part of the event.
Despite the setbacks, it was still a day of great cycling at one of the most iconic events in the amateur calendar.
