TEAM RENZI CORSE FIRST AMONG THE EUROPEANS IN RACE 2

Team Renzi Corse has completed its home round at the Misano World Circuit, scoring important championship points after Simone Corsi finished first among the FIM World SSP Challenge competitors.

Under sunny skies, Sunday began with warm-up at 10am local time. Simone headed out with the intention of rebuilding his feeling after a Race 1 fall that resulted from a crash for another rider.

At 3.15pm it was time for the race, with Simone and his team very eager to show their potential over the course of this 18-lapper.

The lights went out and #40 made a strong start, immediately making up many positions. Yet the high temperatures meant that Simone did not have the best feeling with his bike. In the second part of the race, he was nevertheless able to exploit the tyres and climb to tenth place. Unfortunately, a red flag brought the race to a premature end, two laps ahead of time. Simone had been lying eleventh on the previous lap and so the rules meant that he just missed out on a well-earned top ten finish.

The Italian team has once again demonstrated its significant potential, securing the race victory against its Challenge rivals.

Team Renzi Corse will next take to the track at Donington Park, in the UK, on 12-14 July.
