UNIRAID, the new ambassador of ISB Sport, is a great human and solidarity adventure for young people and students with an entrepreneurial spirit, which celebrates its 12th edition in Morocco in February in 2023.
UNIRAID, is not a rally or a speed race, it is an adventure-trip that consists of completing a 9-day itinerary through the Moroccan desert with the aim of distributing at least 40kg of solidarity material in the most disadvantaged populations and with fewer resources, driving cars over 20 years old, with small displacement (<1300cc) arranged and prepared by the participants themselves.
The main values of 3Steam are solidarity, dreams and smiles, accompanied by commitment, effort, teamwork, cooperation, humility, etc.
The motivations for the creation of this exciting project are:
- Bring resources to the most disadvantaged, with the intention of improving the quality of life, their day to day and future, of children and families, including clothes, toys, school supplies, health, etc. and their conditions of access to essential elements such as water, electricity, education or other small projects.
- Personal improvement, where the young protagonists will face the Atlas and the Sahara desert with a car over 20 years old, with a compass, under extreme temperatures and conditions.
- Encourage teamwork and entrepreneurship.
The calendar is divided by a total of 8 stages, which will combine driving on mountain roads, tracks, sand and dunes.
The stages are divided as follows:
Saturday: Tánger – Boukefrane (stage 1)
Sunday: Boukefrane – Rich (stage 2)
Monday: Rich – Tisserd (stage 3)
Tuesday: Tisserd – Erg Chebbi (stage 4)
Wednesday: Erg Chebbi – (marathon stage – day 1)
Thursday: (marathon stage – día 2) – Nkob
Friday: Nkob – Marrakech (stage 5)
Saturday: Marrakech – Marrakech (rest)
Sunday: Marrakech – Tánger (stage 6).
The starting point will be Tangier. Subsequently, Morocco will be crossed through the interior, crossing the Atlas, where school and solidarity supplies will be delivered to villages previously selected by the Organization, and then continue south, towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
