Strong performances at the Nove Colli and Trofeo VDM
Sunday, May 18th was a day to remember for the Da-Tor/ISB Team from Lecco, as their riders shone brightly in two major road cycling events: the legendary Nove Colli in Cesenatico and the Trofeo VDM in the province of Sondrio.
Nove Colli: A classic cace, tough course, and big results
The 54th edition of the Nove Colli , one of Italy’s most iconic granfondos, once again delivered a top-tier cycling experience. While the days of over 10,000 participants may be behind us, it remains one of the most popular and respected events in the Italian cycling calendar.
In the long course (189 km with 3,265 meters of elevation gain), Simone Impellizzeri put in a sensational ride, finishing 7th overall with a time of 5h 24’16”. Close behind was Andrea Miotto, who took 14th overall and 2nd place in the Master 3 (40–44 years) category.
On the women’s side, Sarah Palfrader stood out with a solid and consistent performance, finishing 6th overall among women and claiming 1st in her age group.
In the medium course (139 km with 1,827 meters of elevation), Alex Mainetti finished 114th in Master 1 (30–34 years), rounding off a strong collective performance for the team.
Trofeo VDM: Total Domination in Sondrio
Meanwhile, in Postalesio (Sondrio), the 25th edition of the Trofeo VDM was held, serving as the final of the US ACLI Provincial Championship. After a neutral start, the peloton hit full race mode on a demanding 60 km circuit that passed through Berbenno, Fusine, and Caiolo, finishing back in Postalesio.
The Da-Tor/ISB Team took control from the very start. Andrea Mariani and Daniele Mario Rainoldi crossed the finish line side by side, securing the overall victory and 1st place in their respective categories.

Once again, the Da-Tor/ISB Team showed their strong form and ability to perform at the highest level — whether in prestigious granfondos or regional road races. The results of this weekend are a true reflection of consistent work, passion for the sport, and the unity of a team that continues to grow and thrive.
