AUSTRALIAN GP CHRONICLE SAG TEAM

We introduce you the post-race analysis of the Australian GP where the pilots of Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team, ambassadors of ISB Sport, have managed to sneak into the points area.

How eager we were to see races again at Philip Island! Since 2019 there were not races at the Australian GP and has returned to the top. At the end of the weekend a new Spanish world champion in the Moto3 category was proclaimed, Izan Guevara. In the medium category our ambassador of Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team has had a solid weekend.

Only the Dutch SAG Team driver managed to sneak into Q2 qualifying seventeenth for Sunday. Taiga Hada closed the Moto2 starting grid starting from the last position. It was a fast session of qualifying and lap records were broken in all categories. There were also episodes of animals invading the track and causing a red flag in sessions of MotoGP.

Sunday arrived and the ambassadors gave a splendid performance. The two drivers managed to finish the race in a session where 11 drivers suffered falls. Bo Bendsneyder again got a Top 10 fighting during the second half of the race with Ai Ogura who was not able to overtake him, even so he is placed at the head of the classification due to the fall of Augusto Fernández. Taiga Hada scored again reaching position 15.

Bo Bendsneyder #64

“I’m very happy for the Top 10 we achieved today. I had a good start and was able to gain several positions, but the wind direction changed a lot from the other days, so it was a slower race. At the beginning it was a bit difficult, but in the middle of the race I managed to find my rhythm and was able to catch the riders fighting for tenth position.”

Having finished the Australian GP there are only two races left until the end of this exciting season. We hope that the race in Malaysia will be at least as exciting as the one we have experienced at Philip Island.
