CHRONICLE GP MUGELLO SAG TEAM

After several weeks of a break, the Moto GP championship is back. This weekend, the Mugello Grand Prix took place at the historic Italian circuit, featuring the second longest straight of the entire championship.

Bendsneyder, the Dutch rider from Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team, finished the qualifying session in twentieth place. It was a bittersweet day for the ISB Sport ambassador, as he missed out on advancing to Q2 by just two tenths of a second. Throughout the day, Bendsneyder managed to improve his performance from the free practice sessions on Friday, but it wasn’t enough to achieve the desired fast lap.

Taiga Hada, who returned to the team in Mugello, secured the twenty-eighth position on the grid. Since the free practice sessions, the rider has regained his sensations with the bike and the team, improving his lap times with each turn.

Sunday arrived, and the riders of the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team took their positions on the grid. Once the traffic lights went out, Bendsneyder managed to overtake several riders during the first lap, despite being hindered by an incident in the first corner. From that moment on, the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team rider fought relentlessly to reach point-scoring positions. Finally, after two highly contested final laps, the Dutch rider surpassed his competitors, earning two points for his record, bringing his total to 18 points.

Taiga Hada completed his first race with the team this year, finishing in twenty-first position. The Japanese rider impressed at the start of the race by overtaking numerous places on the grid. As the race reached its midpoint, Hada continued to fight relentlessly until crossing the finish line in twenty-first position.

#64 Bo Bendsneyder

“I started the race with a great start, but unfortunately, a crash in front of us caused us to lose time as we had to avoid the collision. From that moment on, I focused on pushing to the maximum until the checkered flag. The second part wasn’t the best, but despite everything, we managed to secure two points. Comparing it to the results from two days ago, I think we ended up in a good position, but we have to keep working. The good news is that we’ll be back in just four days, so we can continue with this progression.”
