Chronicle of the Da-Tor Team at Maratona Dles Dolomites & GF Colle delle Finestre
The cyclists of the Da-Tor/ISB team had a double commitment. They took part in two historic, important events in the road cycling movement.
Five athletes from the Lecco-based club participated in the classic and fascinating Maratona Dles Dolomites, a competition now in its thirty-eighth year. Three routes were planned, starting from Corvara. In the 138 km Marathon (4,230 meters of elevation gain), Riccardo Zacchi (twentieth overall) and Christian Dallago (thirtieth overall) were definitely on top, finishing third in the Masters 3 category (40/44) and sixth in the Masters 1 category (30/34), respectively.
In the 106 km Medium Marathon (3,130 meters), Simone Impellizzeri stood out, finishing a fantastic race in fourth place overall. Matteo Moltoni (63rd overall) also performed well, finishing ninth in the Masters 1 category (30/34 years). Diego Colombo (1801st) also crossed the finish line, finishing 197th in the Masters 4 (45/49).
Meanwhile, the tenth edition of the GF Colle delle Finestre, featuring two routes, starts from Cesana (Turin). In the Granfondo (121 km, 3,400 m elevation gain), Andrea Miotto put in a great performance, finishing seventh overall and winning his Veterans 1 category.
In the Medio Fondo (97 km, 2,600 m elevation gain), Paolo Montini also performed well, finishing 29th overall, finishing third in the Gentlemen 1 category.
