FAR WEST RACE : MUD, RAIN AND A LOT OF STRUGGLE

Cycistwork Factory Team Report, ISB SPORT Ambassador

This weekend the team competed in the Far West Race, a stage race marked by very tough conditions, with mud and rain making the stages especially demanding.

In the U23 category, Àlex González delivered a great performance, achieving 5th place, while Jofre Ramírez also completed a very solid race, finishing 7th.

In the elite category, Ferran once again demonstrated his usual progression, improving his form between stages to finish in a commendable 12th position.
Sergio had a great first day, but poor form on the second stage caused him to lose momentum, finishing the race in 14th place in the elite category.

Oriol Vila recovered his form on the second day, finishing very satisfied with his performance and crossing the finish line in 42nd place in the elite category. Franc de Cruz, who struggled with poor form on the first day, staged a remarkable comeback in the second stage, finishing strong and highly motivated, ultimately placing 53rd overall.

In the women’s category, Pilar also experienced difficulties during the second stage, but still managed to finish the race in 6th place overall in the elite category.

Meanwhile, Martí had a challenging weekend: mechanical problems in the first stage forced him to simply finish. He started the second stage strongly, riding within the top 10, but a puncture at kilometer 15 forced him to abandon the race.
