Catalan Karting Cup. Second qualifying race
Warmup: A first morning session with a lot of problems with a borrowed engine since the previous day had a major breakage without time to repair it. In addition, on the third lap he had to retire due to an unwanted puncture.
Qualifying: The engine he used in this race was borrowed and he could only get a discreet P12 out of 18 participants.
Race 1: The race was comfortable starting from the 12th position and after some intense battles, he managed to climb up to the tenth position that would give him that place to start in the second race.
Race 2: The start of this second race was a bit peculiar, taking place 3 times due to some technical problems of organization and stalled engines just before the lights went out. Unai Pineda went out like a shot overtaking 3 positions before the first corner placing him in P7, but laps later and due to the not optimal engine performance, he ended up dropping two positions crossing the checkered flag in P9. This overall result left him inside the category.
Currently, the ISB Karting Team driver is now the leader of the general classification of his category within KZ.
