MALAYSIAN GP CHRONICLE SAG TEAM

ISB Sport ambassador Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team raced at the Malaysian GP on Sunday. We leave you with the post-race analysis.

The championship is ending, last Sunday we lived the penultimate race of the championship at the circuit of Sepang, Malaysia. In the disputed Moto2 category we have lived a race that can be crucial for the championship since the fall of Ogura gives the Spaniard Augusto Fernández options to win the title of the category in Valencia.

As far as our ambassadors are concerned, the weekend did not start with the best feelings. Bendsneyder was not entirely comfortable with the bike during training but still managed a time that placed him in the top 14. On Saturday Taiga Hada failed to pass Q1 so he started the P22, on the other hand Bendsneyder did not have to go through that session and qualified in P12 with a time of 2’07.096.

“Today we were able to take a big step compared to yesterday. I’m happy with the progress, but not quite with the result.”

Sunday was a difficult day for our drivers, Bendsneyder would start the race with a fantastic first lap reaching eighth position. From that moment the grip problems of the rear wheel returned and he went backwards to finish in fourteenth position. The second rider of the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team, Taiga Hada, climbed as usual in him 7 positions to be just behind his teammate thus achieving position 15.

“It was a very difficult race. From the beginning I had a lot of problems with the lack of rear grip, the same feeling I had this weekend during the first free practice sessions. We will have to analyze the data to learn from today. I gave everything in the race, from now on we will focus all our attention on the last race of the season.”

With these results we enter the last race of this exciting season, we are waiting for you all at the Valencia GP.
