20 Dec Rafa Botello’s 2022 Review
The end of 2022 arrives and we have the opportunity to look back to see the good sporting year that the ISB Sport ambassador, Rafa Botello, has made.
Rafa has traveled around the world competing in different events and reaching good positions in many of them.
This year he has achieved the first position in the Marathons of Madrid, Barcelona, Gran Canaria and Melilla, he also achieved the first position in the Half Marathon of Seville. When he traveled to Mexico he got a second place in the Guadalajara Half Marathon.
He also traveled to the United States to compete in several events in which he finished third in the New York Half Marathon and the Grandmas Marathon in Duluth. He also took third place on his trip to England at 10 kilometres in Manchester.
Botello achieved two fourth places, one in the Cape Town Marathon, South Africa and the Diamond League in Silesia, Poland. On his tour of the American continent he also reached sixth place in the Boston Marathon, seventh in Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta and a ninth place in the Chicago Marathon.
Finally, the Arquillos pavilion has been named after Rafael Botello, a fact that has moved the ISB Sport ambassador and we are very happy to be recognized for his hard work.
We wish Rafa the best of luck for this 2023 and that he continues to reap seasons as positive as this one. For this new year we remind you of Botello’s motto, “dreams are not fulfilled, THEY ARE TRAINED”.
