10 May Scott Cala Bandida at the Titan Desert
The ISB Sport ambassador team, Scott Cala Bandida, participated for the first time in the Titan Desert with the pair formed by Sergio Mantecón and Miquel Faus.
The Scott Cala Bandida traveled to Morocco to celebrate this edition of the Titan Desert from May 8 to 13. Six days full of adventure where participants encountered 645 kilometers of sandy and rocky terrain, climbed by desert cliffs and dunes.
Scott’s Balearic wasn’t used to this kind of test. During the early stages we saw how they dealt with navigation problems and setbacks caused by the difficult characteristics of the African terrain.
As the stages passed, the team was strengthened, going on to apply all the learnings they obtained from each initial setback and began to find good feelings.
This improvement began to be seen from the third stage, where Sergio Mantecón, cyclist of Scott Cala Bandida would get the first place in this stage of the Titan Desert. From this stage both ISB Sport ambassador pilots were always among the top 15 classified.
In stage 5, Mantecón again signed an incredible second place. Not satisfied with that, in the last stage he took another victory that would be worth to get a fifth place in the general.
For Scott Cala Bandida it has been a great experience, full of unforgettable moments for the team and above all a great learning for future editions.
