TOUGH DAY FOR THE TEAM AT THE HERO UCI MARATHON WORLD CUP IN CAPOLIVERI

The team completed a demanding race today at the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup held in Capoliveri, featuring 73 kilometers and 2,500 meters of climbing on a highly technical and physically demanding course.

For a large part of the race, José Dias, Samuele Porro and David Valero stayed near the front, fighting among the leading riders. However, the extremely high pace set by the Italian riders, who know the terrain of Elba Island perfectly, eventually made the difference during the decisive moments of the race.

Samuele finished as the team’s best rider in 13th place, closely followed by David Valero in 14th. José Dias crossed the line in 22nd position, while Marc, Sebas and Luis finished 34th, 38th and 40th respectively.

Beyond the results, the team takes many positives from the effort and attitude shown throughout the race, while also acknowledging there are areas to improve ahead of the upcoming international events.

Following this second World Cup round, the team now heads to Andorra for an altitude training camp in preparation for the next round of the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup, scheduled for May 31st in Naturland.
