ISB Sport ambassadors Pertamina Mandalika SAG Racing Team conclude the 2022 season with an eleventh place for the team’s first driver, Bo Bednsneyder.

Unfortunately, the end of this exciting motorcycle world championship season has come. As usual, the last race of the world championship was played at the circuit of Cheste, Ricardo Tormo, where throughout its history there have been countless battles for the title. This weekend was exciting, the Moto2 and MotoGP titles were at stake and nerves were on the surface. Finally Francesco Bagnaia took the MotoGP title and Augusto Fernández of Moto2 who were able to celebrate the title in front of more than 92,000 fans.

As for the ISB Sport ambassadors, they had a difficult start to the weekend causing both drivers to go through Q1. Bendsneyder led during the first run of times but could not improve his time in the following attempts so he was unable to qualify for Q2. Taiga Hada also stayed in this session.

Bendsneyder started the race in 20th position and was forced to come back to fight for points. After a good start our driver struggled to maintain the position. A touch at the second corner with another driver relegated him to the bottom of the corner, but this did not stop Bendsneyder from losing his race pace. Finally the young Dutchman finished in eleventh position, concluding the season scoring once again.

#64 Bo Bendsneyder
“We finished the last race of the season with some points. I want to thank the whole team for the great job they have done this season. We have learned a lot this season and this learning will serve us well for next year. I’ll be working hard for next year during pre-season, see you next year!”

Hada puts an end to a season of learning in the Moto2 World Championship with a race fought to the chequered flag. The Japanese driver started the race by making one of his best starts all season, managing to overtake up to eight drivers in the first corner. Unfortunately the great efforts of our pilot were truncated after suffering a fall at the equator of the race, which led him to go through the pits and return to the track completing the race in the twenty-second place.

#29 Taiga Hada
“I crashed during today’s race while riding in a good position. I went back to the box and we were able to finish the race. I want to thank the whole team, I have been very happy to have worked with this team.”

This race ends the season and we already have our eyes on the next one. We are already looking forward to the private Moto2 tests so we can hear the engines roar again.
