Felipe Orts, ambassador of ISB Sport, has gone down in the history of national cyclo-cross after winning the Spanish Championship held in Amurrio and equalling José Luis Talamillo and David Seco, who held the record with 6 victories. A very important victory for La Vila Joiosa – Neteo, who in his debut year with his new team has managed to keep the red and white jersey.

Felipe, aware of all that was at stake, faced the start with the desire to be protagonist from the beginning. After the start and being relegated to fifth place, the rider from La Vila took responsibility and climbed up to the first position with a dizzying speed. Already at the head of the race, Felipe implemented a devastating pace that allowed him to cross the finish line on the first lap with an advantage of 24 seconds over the chasing group.

Felipe Orts: “I really enjoyed it, the course was beautiful and very hard. Yesterday the track was drying out but luckily it rained today and the track was in ideal conditions. Now that I’m tied with Talamillo and David Seco, the only thing left to do is to come back next year and try to beat him. This victory comes at the best moment of my career, the work is done and it is the culmination of many months of effort and sacrifice”.
