14 Mag Fighting spirit and grit at the Gravel Nationals
Spanish Gravel Championship – Llerena 2025
The Spanish Gravel Championship, held this weekend in Llerena (Badajoz), proved to be a tough test for the team, with a demanding course and mixed fortunes for the riders.
José Mari Sánchez lined up after recovering from a recent bout of gastroenteritis. Despite not being at full strength, he showed remarkable determination and commitment by competing and giving his all until the very end.
On the other side, Enrique Morcillo felt strong from the outset. Confident and in form, he was one of the most aggressive riders in the bunch, constantly attacking and trying to force a decisive break. The peloton, however, was unwilling to let anyone go, and all his attempts were eventually reeled in.
The race came down to a sprint in a compact group. Despite solid legs and great attitude, the team couldn’t battle for victory in the final meters.
Still, there are plenty of positives to take: the riders are fit, hungry, and ready for more. The team would like to thank its supporters and partners. Your belief and encouragement truly make a difference. The fight continues.
