Cannondale takes on the HERO Dolomites: an epic challenge in the Italian Alps
The legendary Val Gardena Marathon once again pushed the team riders to their limits.
The HERO Dolomites needs no introduction. With 86 kilometers and 4,500 meters of elevation gain, it stands as an icon of endurance MTB. A brutal route through the peaks of the Dolomites, in the heart of the Italian Tyrol, passing through legendary climbs such as Gardena, Campolongo, Pordoi, and Duron. This year marked the 15th edition of the race, held within the UCI MTB Marathon World Cup Series.
The Cannondale MTB Team, proudly supported by ISB SPORT, lined up at the start once again, fully committed to making their mark in one of the toughest races on the calendar.
Costanza Fasolis was, once again, the team’s top finisher, crossing the line in a solid 20th position, though still hungry to move closer to her personal goals. Mónica, despite her determination and preparation, was forced to withdraw, a clear sign of just how unforgiving this course can be. In the men’s field, Chiarini led the way with a strong 28th place finish, followed closely by Martí, who continues to gain valuable international experience, taking a respectable 36th spot.
At ISB SPORT, we deeply value the grit, consistency, and mindset that Cannondale brings to every challenge. After an intense first half of the season, it’s time to catch a breath, recover, and recharge for what’s to come in the second part of the year.
We keep riding alongside Cannondale through every climb, every kilometer.
