The Girona Figure Skating Club has been honoured by the Catalan Skating Federation with the prestigious Trophy for Excellence, an award that recognises the club’s outstanding season.
The award ceremony took place on 3 March during the 7th Catalan Skating Gala, held at the iconic CaixaForum in Barcelona. At the event, a delegation of skaters from CPA Girona collected the certificates marking this significant recognition, a reflection of the effort, talent and perseverance demonstrated over the past year.
The gala, organised by the Federation, brought together more than 300 guests and nearly 200 athletes honoured for their international successes in 2025. The event combined excitement, spectacle and recognition at the highest level of Catalan skating, consolidating its position as a global benchmark in various disciplines.
Within this context of excellence, CPA Girona stands out as one of the leading clubs, thanks to its results and its ongoing work in training and developing athletes. The Trophy for Excellence recognises precisely those teams and skaters who have excelled in European and world competitions, both individually and as a team.
The evening also featured highlights such as the presentation of the Ramon Basiana Award, tributes to historic clubs and honourable mentions for legendary careers, culminating in the selection of the year’s top athletes.
This recognition of CPA Girona not only celebrates the achievements attained, but also reinforces the club’s key role in the growth of figure skating in Catalonia and internationally.
