Scott Cala Bandida en Andorra Epic 2025

Report from the Scott Cala Bandida & ISB Sport team at the Andorra Epic

The Scott Cala Bandida team, ISB SPORT ambassadors, approached the Andorra Epic with their sights set on delivering a standout performance in one of the most demanding MTB stage races on the international calendar. A challenge of mountaineering, strategy, and teamwork, in which our riders, José Mari Sánchez and Enrique Morcillo, began by showing their potential.

On the first stage, the duo secured a 7th place finish, remaining in the fight with the best. On the second stage, no less demanding with 46 km and 1,300 m of elevation gain, they finished in 8th place, consolidating their position in the Top 10 overall and with promising feelings for the remainder of the race.
However, stage 3 got off to a bad start. A mechanical mishap for José Mari Sánchez right at the start put the team out of the race despite their efforts to resolve it during the race. Even so, the team’s spirit refuses to let up. On the final stage, our riders decided to go out anyway to share the experience with all the participants.

We know that expectations were high and that the outcome leaves a bittersweet taste. But we’re also aware that this is part of cycling: work, risk, unexpected events, and, above all, learning. The team remains in good shape, united, and with intact motivation for the upcoming challenges.
