SCOTT CALA BANDIDA – SILVER AT THE TITAN DESERT

After six intense stages in the Moroccan desert, Sergio finished in second place overall, achieving a stage victory that led him to wear the red jersey. Miquel finished with a good feeling after his fight for the podium in the last stage in which he finished fourth.

In the first two stages Sergio’s legs already showed that the podium was within reach. If he finished the first stage in second place after the final sprint, the second stage had the same result. After the separation of the leading group, Sergio managed to catch them and finished the stage in second position with the same time as the leader. Miquel was fifth in the first stage and in the top 15 in the second stage.

Sergio won the third stage, taking the red leader’s jersey after two days close to victory. The first marathon stage, in which the participants had no external mechanical or personal assistance after the stage, was won by our bandidos after a final sprint.

The fourth and fifth stages distanced Mantecón from the victory but kept him in second place, just over 6 minutes behind the leader. Miquel suffered a breakdown that prevented him from finishing the stage.

And after 5 intense days came the final stage, with a menu of 69 km and 579 meters of positive difference in altitude. Sergio fell out of the group and finished in ninth position but with silver overall. Miquel tried for the podium in a final sprint between several riders where he finished in fourth position.
