Yesterday the Spanish Ultra Marathon Championship was held in the Leonese town of Astorga. A test with a route of 150 kilometers and nearly 3,500 meters of elevation gain that allowed Roberto Bou and Tessa Kortekas to win the Spanish championship.
In the men’s elite category, Cannondale Vas Arabay almost missed the triplet. Roberto Bou was declared the winner, Miguel Muñoz finished in second position and Fran Herrero finally finished fifth after having a mechanical problem in the last kilometers when he was riding in third position. An excellent result from our three runners and where once again the Spanish Ultramarathon championship title remained with our team.
In the women’s category, Tessa gave no option to her rivals. With a hard pace from the beginning, he left his pursuers behind and went alone with a hard and constant pace until he crossed the finish line in first position.
A great championship for our runners with a double in one of our goals of the season. We continue that the second part of the season is full of races for our runners!
