“I can be satisfied with this third position, an unexpected result given the high level of the rivals. I pushed hard from the beginning to keep up with Burato, who won the race last year, knowing that he is superior to me on the climbs. At the end of the first climb I managed to contain the difference in about thirty seconds that I controlled until halfway through the race, then, after the descent to Val d’Illasi, I found myself at his wheel and we fought a little to see who was more, more . On the descent from Monte Guala I had a cramp in my calf that penalized me in the final part of the race, in any case the signs that came from this race indicate that I am working in the right direction.”
