Last rainy weekend was held in Logroño the tenth edition of La Rioja Bike Race, a 3-day race through the mountains of La Rioja where three cyclists of Cannondale ISB Sport would take the start.
On Friday the time trial stage was disputed, the team’s female Meritxell Figueras took the first place without giving any option to her rivals.
In the elite men’s category Roger Ferrer was just outside the podium and Adrian Garcia finished 13th.
On Saturday the queen stage was disputed, where after raining all night was expected a tough terrain, Meritxell Figueras after a first half of the stage taking heat and controlling his rivals started and took his second victory, Roger Ferrer entered the Top 10 and Adrian Garcia finished in 17th place.
Sunday woke up rainy and started the stage under water, in elite women repeated the same pattern as the previous days and Meritxell took the stage victory and the overall women.
Spectacular stage of Adrian Garcia who entered seventh and Roger Ferrer could only enter the 22nd after having respiratory problems during the stage. In the overall they would be 12th and 13th respectively.
