Pertamina Mandalika Gas Up Racing Team at the Circuit of the Americas

The Pertamina Mandalika Gas Up Racing Team, ambassador of ISB Sport, said goodbye to the Circuit of the Americas with mixed feelings after a weekend that promised great expectations. Bo Bendsneyder crossed the finish line in eighteenth position, while Jaume Masiá crossed the line in nineteenth position.

Bendsneyder started from tenth position, however, a difficult start marked the outcome of his race. The Dutch rider was forced to come back from the last positions, showing his skill and determination lap after lap. Although he fought tirelessly until the last corner, finishing in that position was a challenge. This race was undoubtedly a valuable lesson for the upcoming races in Europe.

On the other hand, Masiá showed his tenacity from the start, achieving one of his best starts of the season by overtaking five riders in the first corner. During the first third of the race, he was in fourteenth position with an impressive pace that allowed him to challenge for the top ten. However, with twelve laps to go, a collision caused by another rider relegated him to the back of the field. Despite this, his performance on the track was on a par with the rest of the grid despite his condition, reflecting his physical and mental strength.

With this race, the Pertamina Mandalika Gas Up Racing Team concludes the third round of the Moto2 World Championship without a prize, but with hope for the work of the team and the riders for the next competitions. The next stop of the Moto2 World Championship will be at the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto, from 26th to 28th April.
