During the past days of September 30 to October 2, the second edition of the Valencia European Skate Open (V.E.S.O) was held in the Marina Norte, Valencia, one of the largest international events/festivals of urban sports in disciplines such as skateboarding, scooter and roller freestyle. An event that also included workshops, urban art exhibitions, concerts, etc.
The V.E.S.O 2022, organized by the Federació de Patinatge Comunitat Valenciana and the Club Esportiu URBNS and with the support of the la Real Federación Española de Patinaje has allowed that during the week of the event, all the planned objectives will be exceeded, hanging the “sold out” poster, with an attendance of more than 20,000 attendees and with a participation of more than four hundred athletes who love urban sports from more than 21 different countries.
During this event, we were able to enjoy a wide range of competitions and categories, which made all its attendees enjoy.
Of all these tests that we were able to live during the weekend, in which the participation and success of Spanish urban athletes distributed in the different categories and disciplines stands out, (such as Alex Pérez, in Scooter Park or Carlos Ravello, in Scooter Street) we want to highlight the performance of the young Carla Martín, the ambassador of ISB Sport who with only 17 years, she was one of the protagonists of the competition, managing to take the runner-up in the European Roller Freestyle Park Women’s Championship and after her success and as she has repeatedly confessed, she affirms the following; “In Spain, more facilities are needed to practice roller freestyle.” Words that demonstrate his passion, pride and fanaticism for the booming sport he practices.
