Matchday 16: DEPORTIVO LICEO vs CE ARENYS DE MUNT SOLARTRADEX

In their quest to get their sixth consecutive victory in the OK League and anchored in the second position of the domestic competition thanks to a meritorious record of 36 points out of 45 possible, the Deportivo  Liceo received at home to Arenys de Munt. An important match to continue with the positive winning streak and stay at the top of the standings and to get up from the European defeat suffered against Oliveirense in the WSE Champions League.

The match started with a goal in the three minutes from Pol Manrubia who took advantage of a good interception on the right and a better pass from captain Dava Torres.  In the 8th, César Carballeira increased the lead to 2-0 after converting a penalty. After the visiting coach requested timeout, Arnau scored the third for the Liceista team. Finally, the first half ended 3-1 with a goal achieved by Arenys de Munt, the work of Lluc Vilà after a totally unfortunate play full of rejections.

In the second half, as soon as the game resumed, César Carballeira conceded one more goal (4-1). Matchday 18: DEPORTIVO LICEO vs CE NOIA FREIXENET

Two days after their draw at home in the WSE Champions League, against Benfica, the ambassador team of ISB Sport, faced at home the fourth classified, CE Noia, who already emerged victorious in the home match of the first round (5-3).

In a match marked by the load of matches of both teams for the dispute of the WSE Champions League, the Liceo could not get the ninth consecutive victory.

The commitment of this occasion was not easy. One of the obstacles that the green-and-whites already had was called Blai Roca. The visiting goal was the savior of his teammates within an initial script in which Deportivo Liceo monopolized clear opportunities. In a first half characterized by the number of fouls and protests, the score at halftime was 0-0.

In the second half, it was where we could see the goals of both teams. Adrià Ballart, opened the score (0-1) and advanced to those of Noia. Moments later, the Liceo DNA appeared to overcome in 30 seconds the initial goal of Noia. Both goals were from Àlex Rodríguez in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, with just over 6 minutes to go, Noia Freixenet, tied the match thanks to another pass of death. Deportivo Liceo touched the three points in the final play, when neither Bruno Di Benedetto nor Dava Torres could drill the net with three and one second to go.

 

Matchday 19: REUS DEPORTIU VIRGINIAS vs DEPORTIVO LICEO

En la visita del equipo embajador de ISB Sport, el Deportivo Liceo, al Palau d’Esports de Reus y con el objetivo de sumar los 3 puntos para seguir con su racha sin derrotas, el Liceo se enfrentaba al actual subcampeón de la OK Liga y el actual tercer clasificado. Para seguir afrontando un muy exigente mes de febrero en el que el conjunto liceísta se ha visto las caras con los mejores clasificados de la liga y el inicio de la WSE Champions League.

El partido empezó con una gran ocasión desviada por parte de Ballart (portero del Reus), por parte de César Carballeira, quien en el minuto 13, no perdonó y transformó un penalti cometido sobre Bruno Di Benedetto (0-1). Más tarde, como consecuencia de una tarjeta azul vista por Àlex Rodríguez, Diego Rojas, engañó a Martí Serra empató el duelo antes del descanso (minuto 23).

El partido se puso emocionante durante los segundos 45 minutos, donde el resultado final fue de 4-4 y pudimos ver como cada golpe del Deportivo Liceo fue inmediatamente respondido por el Reus, ya que el Liceo no pudo separarse del marcador por más de un gol en ningún momento y no se vio perdiendo en ningún momento del partido.
Los goles de la segunda parte del Liceo, fueron firmados por; Àlex Rodríguez (1-2 y 2-3) y Dava Torres (3-4).

 

Matchday 20: BARÇA vs DEPORTIVO LICEO

In the match of the day, which faced the first two classified, Deportivo Liceo and Barça, who has only left 2 points throughout the season (18 wins and 1 draw) and after another day in which both teams came from playing the WSE Champions League a few days before, we saw a hard defeat of Juan Copa’s team.

The first two goals of the match were from Marc Grau. The first half ended with a goal from Bruno Di Benedetto (3-1), with less than a minute left, which gave hope to the green and white team.

However, in the second half, the result could not be lifted and things got worse. Although competing at all times, the Liceo also had to fight against some questionable decisions such as a clear penalty against Bruno, who received a “beating” inside the culé area and in his protest saw the blue card. With this inferiority, Barça scored the 5-1 and finished the game seconds from the end with a result of 6-1.

 

Now it’s time to face the start of the Copa del Rey, which starts next Thursday, where the Liceo will face RECAM LÀSER CH CALDES in the quarterfinals.
