FRANCESC MORET COMPLETES A CHALLENGING EXTREME XL LAGARES

The second round of the 2026 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship took place in Portugal.

Francesc Moret delivered an outstanding performance at the legendary Extreme XL Lagares, one of the most demanding events on the international hard enduro calendar. The Portuguese event once again brought together the world’s best riders for a weekend marked by challenging terrain, intense competition, and changing weather conditions.

From the start, Moret demonstrated a high level of competitiveness. In the Eurocode prologue, a 60-km course through technical forests, he managed to position himself among the fastest riders, laying a solid foundation for the rest of the weekend. Later, in the Night Super Special held in Peñafiel, the rider brought out his best, securing an excellent third-place finish thanks to precise and aggressive riding.

Saturday’s action raised the difficulty even further with the Extreme Peñafiel, a 115-km course featuring technical rocky sections and river crossings that, due to the rain, became particularly slippery. Moret managed the conditions well and remained competitive on extremely demanding terrain.

On Sunday, during the main race, the physical and technical demands reached their peak. With a format of two hours plus one lap on a 5-km circuit, the race tested the endurance of all the riders. Francesc Moret completed a total of eight laps in the Gold category, achieving a commendable 13th-place finish in a race where only the strongest managed to finish at the front.

With this result, Francesc Moret reaffirms his consistency and ability to perform under the most extreme conditions, relying on the reliability and precision of ISB Sport Bearings as key allies in every challenge.
