13 Feb Mónica Calderón’s podium at the Mediterranean Epic
On Thursday began a new edition of the Mediterranean Epic around the towns of Oropesa del Mar and Castellón in which the Cannondale Vas Arabay team, ambassadors of ISB Sport, have taken part in the test.
This Mediterranean Epic, which apart from standing out for its hard route, with time trial stages, stages of more than 100k and more than 2,000m of altitude, has had an extraordinary participation of professional runners. The first 20 riders of the UCI Marathon ranking and the top 10 of women have competed in this event.
In the women’s elite category new podium for Mónica Calderón, finishing the test in third position. Thanks to Monica’s regularity these days, always finishing in the top 5 (and even finishing second in stage 2) has made the ISB Sport ambassador get on the podium at the end of the race. In the women’s category, Greete Steinburg finished in tenth position and Fina Casadey could not finish the race.
In the men’s category very good race also of our ambassadors, Roberto Bou has finished the test in 15th position, Miguel Muñoz finishes in 17th position, Raúl Bermúdez 19th position and Fran Herrero in position 34.
Undoubtedly a race with a lot of international level where the runners of the Cannondale Vas Arabay have been in the first groups of each stage. A Mediterranean Epic that year after year is consolidated as a race with a high level of runners, route and organization.
The next test in which the ISB Sport bearings will be tested together with the Cannondale Vas Arabay team will be the Andalucía Bike Race, we are already looking forward to seeing them roll again!
