01 Nov PATXI PEULA AND AURA QUINTANA MADEIRA’S CHAMPIONS
The couple of the Club Patinaje Desliza Victoria, ambassadors of ISB Sport, have conquered the half marathon of IV Madeira Roller International Marathon.
The half marathon consisted of eleven laps of the 2km circuit in Funchal. Both came with the confidence that gave them to be winners in Lisbon, this put them the poster of favorites and were the participants to beat during the event in Madeira.
As far as the men’s event is concerned, Patxi Peula started with the leading group having several battles with the Portuguese competitors. The attacks of the runner of the Club Patinaje Desliza Victoria were constant and it was difficult to follow by the other competitors. In the final stretch of the race, the ISB Sport ambassador accelerated the pace making it impossible for his fans to reach him and reached the finish line alone.
The women’s event was just as exciting, Aura Quintana led the race from start to finish, imposing her law in front of her rivals. The various attacks carried out and the last effort of the skater of the Club Patinaje Desliza Victoria proclaimed her champion of the Madeira half marathon.
“We are out of season and for two years we have been attending the International Biosphere Trophy in Madeira. We had to return to the island on holiday and we have done it but with the skates, with the Lisbon marathon and Madeira, we enjoyed a lot”.
This new triumph increases the record achieved this 2019 by the ambassadors of ISB Sport.
