FRANCESC MORET COMPLETES THE CHALLENGING ALESTREM HARD ENDURO

The opening round of the 2026 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship in France highlighted just how demanding the discipline is. Against this backdrop, Francesc Moret, ISB Sport ambassador, put in a solid performance at the Alestrem Hard Enduro, a round characterised by a gruelling course and unpredictable weather.

The weekend began on a positive note. In Friday’s Xtrem Test, a short but highly technical course, Moret managed to secure a place in the top 10, showing his competitiveness right from the start. On Saturday, during the SuperEnduro-style prologue, he qualified for the final and secured a good starting position for the main race.

On Sunday, conditions changed radically. After the initial heat, a heavy storm transformed the terrain into a real challenge, particularly in the final sections, even forcing the organisers to shorten the race. In these circumstances, Moret adapted well and managed the race intelligently. Starting from the second row, he steadily gained positions to cross the finish line in a creditable 12th place.

The rider himself assessed his performance as follows:

“It was a very demanding race, especially due to the changing conditions. Although the rain made the terrain much more difficult, it allowed me to find a better rhythm and move up the field. We’re happy with our performance over the weekend, but there’s still room for improvement. The standard is very high and we need to keep fighting in every race.”

With this result, Francesc Moret has started the season by demonstrating consistency and adaptability, two key qualities in Hard Enduro. The next round will be in Portugal, where the aim will be to continue improving and closing the gap on the front-runners.
