Spanish Marathon Championship & Catalan XCM Cup: battles, comebacks and victories
This weekend, the team competed in the Spanish Marathon Championship in Paterna del Campo, on a day marked by the gruelling nature of the course and high temperatures.
In the women’s category, Pili put in a superb performance, securing a creditable 4th place in the elite category, after suffering a setback early in the race that forced her to fight her way back up the field.
Jaume, for his part, had a great race until the third feed station, where the heat took its toll. Even so, he managed his effort well and fought until the end, crossing the finish line in 17th place in the U23 category.
Catalan XCM Cup
On Sunday, the team also took part in another round of the Catalan XCM Cup, achieving very good results as a group.
Jofre Ramírez took the win in the U23 category, confirming his excellent form.
Joan Calderón, who improved steadily throughout the race, secured a solid 6th place in the elite category.
Oriol Sanz put in a very consistent performance, finishing 12th in the elite category.
Franc de Cruz rounded off the team’s performance with a 15th place in the elite category, maintaining a good pace on a demanding course.
